Category: Let's talk
1. How do you feel about the media? Do you like it or think that it's destroying our society?
Depends if it's left or right wing media. If it's left wing mumble jumble then sure! Also, the stupid news that doesn't matter, hollywood/celebrity news and such. That's why the nation is so misinformed, a good healthy combination of both CNN, MSN BC, and stupid pointless magazines. I love fox and such, and the more conservative papers and radio stations as most of them are closer to the truth then most Liberal stations. Besides, more of there talk shows hits home in terms of topic. Oh, and yeah, yuck, I hate NPR!
2. What's your stand on gay marriage?
Listen, there's nothing good about it. I think the whole concept is rubbish. Can a woman and woman creat a child? I didn't think so, and man and man can't either. People are meant to mary the other sex like all other creatures so to reproduce and to give the world another generation. Woman's main job is to rear children. Sure, they may work, but it's important if a woman wants to rear children. If they don't then, that's on them, guaranteeing the man is okay with her not having children. I am not religious, but lets take the christian saying God created Adam and eve not Adam and Steve. It's true even from a scientific stand point, the two sexs exist to balance each other out and to creat a proper family with children. Gay Marriage should not be legal.
3. Abortion?
this makes me a libertarian, but yes, it should be legal. I believe that a woman has a right to her body and the supposed life form shouldn't be able to control her body and to dictate for her what to do. First of all, it's not a baby! It's a fetus! ! It does not become independent and has rights until it can be independent and successfully live on it's own for a period of time. If it can eat, breathe, and do other things on it's own then, sure, but it can't. true some with 8 months can do that, but most needs nine months in the womb. So, true human rights does not apply until birth. The fetus before does not know how to express that he desires to live or die. Therefore for most of the pregnancy I do think it's the mothers choice. Except for situation of hardships to care for the baby, or if the mothers life is in danger, Abortions may be best not performed after about 8 months. It might be better at that point to not abort the baby.
4. Do you think there is life beyond Earth?
I don't know.
5. What are your religious/non-religious beliefs?
I am an atheist, but I was born in to a Christian more specifically baptist family, though they've changed there tune recently to reformed. After understanding the world so well, and learning so much it's hard to be religious. However, I have a whole load of Skeptical philosophies and ideals I believe in. It'll take a whole lot of time to expand on all of the topics, so I will not here. If you want to know my belief on anything, please feel free to ask. Please, however, refrain from shoving your religion down my throat whatever it may be. otherwise, I am open to discussion.
6. Do you think that there is such a thing as a "perfect world"? If so, what do we need to do to obtain this perfect world?
Well, If humans can not be humans maybe, then sure. Do I believe in a perfect capitalistic goal however? yes. Do I think it possible? no. The idea is brilliant, or one of the solutions is. Marxism sounds a little frightening, but Capitalism, sounds great. a perfect capitalistic world written just like in the books is a marvelous dream. It is also a great goal. It would work smoothly, everyone would be happy. We would all work together and compete fairly with one another. Businesses will be successful, the economics would be booming, everyone will be happy, and ETC..... ETC...... so on and so forth. but, unfortunately that's not at all possible.People are people. As a person that has led others, I know that is a goal, that can only be dreamt of. People will be disorderly and be lazy. People will not cooperate. People will want to rely on others. People will want an easy life. It goes on. A lot of people are uncooperative about many things even minor details. Even if it is in an unimportant, project. How will people act in real life in terms of politics? You can't really control people or you'll be a dictator, or it'd be socialism. As a laisez-faire leader myself, it's hard. I have barely if not unsuccessfully got people to cooperate, with some members not doing anything. Okay, enough of me. Next question. haha!
7. What do you believe happens after death?
I don't know.
8. Do you think that the death penalty is a reasonable and appropriate punishment for certain crimes? If so, what crimes?
Yes, I do indeed. Crimes such as murder, intentional injury, and rape perhaps. If you do any of these you should not live, since you have no respect for life and do not value it. Therefore you shall not live.
9. What is one thing (for lack of a better word) that has changed your outlook on life?
knowledge. It's an eye opener, and a very good one. The more knowledge you have the better. Without it, you can accomplish nothing. Ignorance and naivety is a bad thing above the age of ten.I was nothing without knowledge and a good look at the world. I was very stupid without being informed. It's not a good position to be in. That's how people take advantage of you.
10. What age do you think it is acceptable for people to start dating? Get married?
16 and after college. Before sixteen, you aren't mature enough to date or look for a date. you don't even know yourself and what you want in a spouse. and, marriage is a big responsibility, so, you should wait until after college.
11. Who/what do you blame for childhood obesity? The parents? The media? The economy?
I don't. It's nobody's ffault really. Why must we fault someone? Maybe, the parents, but maybe, they had a reason to not care, or maybe, have you considered they don't have the time. To blame anything else is stupid and silly.
12. Do you think social networking websites are good or bad for society?
that's a tough question there. I tend to be on the yes it's both harmful and dangerous, side, though caution can do it. After experienceing what I did a few weeks back, even if it's nothing sexual, people can still do interesting things. Although, on story sites like this, doesn't really get that way. Also, most of the social networks does a lot of work in degrading language. It's IDK instead of I don't Know, Jk instead of Just kidding OMg instead of Oh My God, LOL instead of laugh out loud, and ETC..... ETC..... ETC.... ETC.... ETC.... ETC.... ETC.... ETc..... Also, typing on a computer and posting on things like facebook, myspace, and twitter, I would argue it's not mass communications.
13. Do you believe in global warming?
no, sorry, it doesn't exist. haha! sorry...... it's not man made. there's so much proof against it. The IPCC makes up most of it's data, leaving out a few hot eras, and completely exaggerates current warming. The sun is active and it may be warmer, but it's not by humans. It's a regular cycle wich just happens. Thirty years ago, people was saying the earth was going to freeze over.
14. How do you feel about people who judge based on race/religion/sexual orientation/etc...?
Well, some of it's good, but, some of them are not so good, though judging isn't a bad thing. If you don't ever judge people then that's a bad thing too, "what do you think of me? am I your friend?" "I don't know, I don't judge." Do you like your spouse?" "I don't know, I don't judge." "Do you like your shirt?" "I don't know I don't judge." Yeah, bad idea. haha! though, judging by race and being racist is quite frankly wrong or gender, but judging religion or sexual orientation and other value based things is alright.
15. Share a peice of advice that you think everyone should live by.
Nothing much here. Just live by what you believe, within reason of course.
